- The Cold War begins.
1955[]
- Beholder Initiative is founded as an international lobby group.
1956[]
- Operation Gladio is officially established.
1963[]
- November 22nd - President JFK is assassinated in Dallas, Texas. Lee Harvey Oswald is caught and labeled as the assassin, but conspirators think otherwise.
1969[]
- The Generation of Aquarius in Action is founded as a NGO.
1970[]
- The United States raids Són Tây prison as part of Operation Ivory Coast.
1976[]
- April 4th - The Colossus Computers Corporation is founded.
- Manhattan Silk Road is established.
1983[]
- The events of Phantom Doctrine take place.
- March 11th - Deadpan’s CIA cell conducts an unsanctioned raid in Pakistan to investigate the country’s alleged nuclear program.
- March 21st - “Hemlock” infiltrates the ACA’s Facility in Colón, Panama to search for documents leading to “Komodo,” a known associate of Josef Mengele. The search turns up nothing about Komodo herself, but the compound’s leaser, Panamanian General Azcarraga, may have victims willing to talk.
- April 17th - The HMS Conqueror seizes Beholder Initiative cargo on board the CS Marquis. The Beholder CEO is assassinated by Cardinal, placing Valhalla as his successor. Kingfish activates a sleeper agent in East Berlin and steals a manifest for the Conqueror’s cargo.
- April 18th - A suicide bomber explodes in the U.S. Embassy in Beirut.
- Fender is almost assassinated in New York.
- The Cabal destroys evidence while evading navy SEALS in Beirut.
- June 23rd - K-429 sinks in the Sarannaya Bay.
- The Cabal rescues Omikron to learn more about the Marquis cargo.
- The Cabal is attacked by Conspiracy forces while trying to recover the Marquis cargo in Glasgow.
- Cabal agents sent to Hong Kong are almost killed.
- The Cabal rescues Wizard and obtains mind control technology.
- The Cabal raids a restaurant to capture Tai-Pan.
- A Beholder cell in Vancouver is infiltrated and/or raided by the Cabal.
- Operation Boldface occurs, either resulting in the death or evacuation of a Polish opposition leader.
- September 1st - KAL Flight 007 is shot down by Soviet interceptor aircraft. After the disaster, President Reagan announces the GPS (Global Positioning System) would be available for civilian use soon.
- The Cabal raids Sears Tower in Chicago.
- October 25th - U.S. troops invade the country of Grenada. The Cabal raids Beholder’s base in the region, defeating Valhalla. Almaz Station is sent crashing down onto Earth, effectively ending Project Iceberg.
1986[]
- The events of Phantom Doctrine 2: The Cabal take place.
- April 26, 1986 - The Chernobyl disaster occurs, seemingly orchestrated by the Cabal.
- October 11th-12th - Ronald Reagan meets Mikhail Gorbachev at the Reykjavik Summit, leading to the end of communism in the Soviet Union.
